By virtue of being veterans who have served their country in its time of greatest need, the fun-loving, hard-working Voyageurs Militaire maintain a strong commitment to the American way of life. Americanism projects, respect for the flag, Constitution, Law and Order and the proven willingness to defend these principles is evident in the day-to-day activities of members of our society.

Flags for First Grader's is a Big Hit with the Kids!

Every Spring, the 40 & 8 in Lenawee County, Voiture Locale #997, sends out Voyageur's to all the first grade elementary classes and teaches Americanism to the students. Respect for the flag, what it represents as a symbol for our country, and other important values about America are taught. Each child also receives a flag making their experience much more exciting & real. Pictured above is our Americanism Director, Jeff LaBarr, with Adrian 1st Graders. Jeff was assisted by fellow Voyageurs Mike Ehinger & Dave Loop and these Veterans visit the Adrian Elementary Schools.
